In Case You Missed It

In September 2018, Governor Jerry Brown approved Senate Bill 1343. The Bill stipulates that all employers with 5 or more employees are legally obligated to provide at least 2 hours of sexual harassment training to all supervisory employees and at least one hour of sexual harassment training to all nonsupervisory employees by January 1, 2020, and once every 2 years thereafter.

There's Still Time to Schedule Training

We can help! Newmeyer & Dillion regularly provides customized training to educate employees about sexual harassment, and empower managers and supervisors to properly handle issues if they surface. Not only will the training ensure compliance, prevent harassment and equip employees with knowledge to respond accordingly, but it will provide us with an opportunity to get to know your employees, the organization's culture and personalities. This will allow our team to tailor future HR advice to fit the needs of the business and relate to the employees when future needs arise.
